Background[]
Knight Rider (1982)[]
At some point in the past, Ted joined the LFPD and eventually rose to the rank of sergeant. It was then that he began working for Judge Paxton as his enforcer and continually used dirty tactics to arrest or tax civilians with unwarranted charges. As well as covering up anything that the judge wanted.
This eventually caught the attention of local reporter, Frank Reston. Who investigated the police force and Judge Paxton. Even calling in the Foundation for Law and Government to help. Devon Miles went there personally to talk with Frank but was pulled over by Sergeant Ted Wallace and Officer Rex Saunders. Who pinned phony speeding charges on him before arresting him.
This in turn sent F.L.A.G. operative Michael Knight down to the town to get Devon back. Ted continually tried to throw Michael off Devon's trail after being informed by Judge Paxton that he was the executive director of F.L.A.G. Ted even tried to kill Michael multiple times, but failed each time.
Eventually, Devon broke out of the local prison with two other prisoners. Ted led the charge to recapture him, but only managed to capture the other two prisoners. As Devon made it to K.I.T.T. and Michael before heading for the county line.
Ted chased them down and tried to use local truckers to block their path, but K.I.T.T. managed to Turbo Boost over the truck. Allowing the group to report the corrupt department to the sheriff and arrest Ted and his other officers. Afterwards, Ted confessed to everything he had done under Judge Paxton's orders.
