Background[]

Knight Rider (1982)[]

While little is known of Tanya and her past, she was responsible for the murder of Michael Long and was unwittingly responsible for the origin of Michael Knight (Long's new identity), who was now an agent working for F.L.A.G. , with a superpowered car named K.I.T.T., determined to avenge his attempted murder and bring her to justice.

After much investigating and a confrontation with Tanya, who was amazed that he was still alive, Michael pursued her to an airport where she tried to make her escape, but it failed, and Tanya, in a fit of unthinking vengeful rage tried to shoot him again while he was still inside K.I.T.T. Despite Michael and her partner Wilson's warnings that K.I.T.T was bulletproof, Tanya shot at Michael resulting in the bullet ricocheting off the window and killing her.

Though Tanya had received her ultimate comeuppance and was gone for good, Michael still had terrifying flashbacks of the night of her shooting him.

Three years later she was linked to an international criminal by the name of Cameron Zachary. In fact, Tanya and Mr. Zachary were lovers. Not only that but it was Cameron who originally planned the hit on Long and his partner Muntzy during their original investigation.

Once Zachary discovered Michael Long was still alive as Michael Knight he wished to avenge her, indicating that Tanya and Cameron were very close.

However Zachary failed and was captured by Michael and K.I.T.T. and imprisoned finally closing the case of Michael Long's murder.

Personality[]

Tanya Walker when she first appears, comes across as an innocent mistress whom is in no way involved in the crimes that surround her associates. Which is what fooled Michael Long at first. This however is nothing more than a subtle manipulation, for she is really the ringleader of their organization. She is clever, manipulative, ruthless and not afraid to personally get her hands dirty when the situation calls for it. Going as far as murdering anyone she deems a threat even against the wishes of her business partners. She's also shown to be very cowardly when the odds are out of her favor and very stubborn when it comes to loose ends. The latter of which is what gets her killed.

Skills[]

  • Manipulation: She fooled Michael Long into thinking she was an innocent victim of circumstance. It didn't work the second time only because he is wise to her act. She is however very good at using both intelligence and sex appeal to get whatever she wants. Hence why it was so easy for her to steal from one company, then Comtron.
  • Business Savvy: When she manipulated her way through Comtron. Although her job was to steal company secrets and flee, she's proven to be a very great businesswoman. Making the company more money by changing it's image and hosting events that gave them good PR.
  • Firearms Expert: She is very handy with a gun, which was what cost Michael Long his face.

Relationships[]

Michael Long/Michael Knight:[]

When Michael Long first met Tanya, she claimed she was in danger and he was intending to use her as a witness to her alleged boss' crimes. The operation cost him his partner's life and when he finds out that Tanya was the mastermind, she shoots him. Leaving for dead. Little did she know, the bullet reflected off a metal plate which disfigured Long's face and caused him to undergo plastic surgery, turning him into Michael Knight. Initially like many victims Knight comes across, he had nothing but sympathy for her. However upon finding her deception, he has nothing but anger and the need for revenge. When he meets her again, although she's certain she killed him, something about Knight, makes her feel uneasy. When he finally confronts her with his true identity, holding her at gunpoint, that unease turns into straight up fear. Since he is the only one that knows who she really is, it makes him a liability she needs to be rid of. After Michael and K.I.T.T. stop her getaway plane, she got desperate enough to try to shoot him at point blank range, despite his and her partner's warnings that the Windows are bullet proof, resulting in her ultimate death.
