Biography[]
Knight Rider (1982)[]
Sometime before 1982, Bruckner was elected as sheriff. He took a more passive stance on crime control, leading to rampant criminals and street punks in his tiny town of White Rock.
Eventually, Michael Knight came along looking for some rock climbing, but found himself coming into conflict with a local punk. After nearly getting into a fight with him. Sheriff Bruckner gave him a warning.
When a biker gang called the The Scorpions arrived in town. They caused havoc for local store owner, Sherry Benson, who told Bruckner about the gang. Instead of arresting them, he believed that giving them what they wanted would get them to leave sooner. He believed this so blindly that he even arrested Michael when he got into a fight with the gang.
Michael pleaded with him to take a tougher stance on the gang. However, Bruckner ignored him and kept him locked up. However, after Sherry's son was kidnapped, Michael broke out of jail with the help of K.I.T.T. and rescued him. Bruckner prepared to arrest Michael for breaking out of jail when he and Sherry confronted him.
However, after a short talk the two convinced him to arrest The Scorpions and prepare the town for the incoming rival biker gang called the Road Dogs. The sheriff agreed and scared the biker gang off before thanking Michael for his help.
