Ken Franklin was a mysterious character who was the precursor to Michael Knight as the prime operative of the F.L.A.G. Pilot Program. However, he was murdered by C.J. Jackson while on assignment and his death nearly ended the program.

Sometime before 1982, Wilton Knight and Devon Miles had picked this mysterious driver to be the prime operative of the Foundation's Pilot Program. However, while on an assignment he was murdered by notorious criminal C.J. Jackson. While Jackson was arrested for this crime and sentenced to prison. Wilton nearly abandoned the program due to this driver's death, but ultimately decided against it after discovering Michael Long in the Los Angeles desert after being shot by Tanya Walker.
This driver was later mentioned by Devon in the episode, Knight of the Drones.
