On August 6, 2020, Variety reported that Aquaman director James Wan was working on a Knight Rider reboot movie.
Spyglass Media Group is developing the film. Wan will produce the movie through his Atomic Monster production company with Michael Clear. Judson Scott is executive producing. TJ Fixman is writing the screenplay.
Other Atomic Monster projects listed in the 2020 story include Malignant, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, Netflix's There's Someone Inside Your House, Mortal Kombat, CBS' MacGyver TV series and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. All of which have been released/finished with Aquaman 2 hitting theaters Dec 16, 2022.
But since then James Wan has racked up many more projects, and Knight Rider is still listed as just "Announced".
